“MUST LOVE DOGS, NO, NO...... REALLY, REALLY MUST LOVE DOGS” AND EVERYTHING THAT COMES WITH THEM, INCLUDING POOP, PEE, BATHS, AND SLOBBER. HOWEVER THE LOVE A DOG SHOWS YOU IN RETURN FOR SAVING IT’S LIFE, “PRICELESS” Volunteers are the backbone of any non-profit organization and we are only as good as the high quality of volunteers we have helping us on a daily basis. This is why the founder of Adopt A Dog Foundation, Inc. has set very high standards for not only the caring and placing of rescued dogs, but also for the appreciation and respect given to volunteers who make it all happen. We welcome volunteers of all ages including well behaved students who need community service hours. In return we ask that our volunteers are also respectful, honest, punctual and kind to each other and our rescued puppies and dogs. NOTE - Volunteers who are seeking a place to fulfill community service hours are welcomed. But, Adopt A Dog Foundation will require you to complete your work commitment in order to sign off on your community service worksheet. Volunteer OpportunitiesIn addition to assisting with the care of the dogs, we have a long list of needs that volunteers can provide help with. If you have experience in any of these areas, your help will be greatly appreciated:
- Foster pet parents for dogs and puppies.
- Volunteers to do adoptions on weekends at various locations and events
- Fundraising and event committee members.
- Newsletter committee members.
- Newsletter advertisement sales.
- Newsletter contributing photographers and writers.
- Businesses and restaurants that want to hold fundraisers for adopt a dog.
- Committees to work on donation baskets, gift certificates and prizes for events.
- Volunteer to be responsible for thank you letters being sent out in a timely manner.
- We are in need of a volunteer grant writer. If you have grant writing experience we would love to hear from you. Obtaining grants will help us grow by providing the community with much needed spay/neuter and vaccination clinics.
